What does a typical engagement look like?
It depends on what you need. They always start with an exploratory phase so we can get at the heart of what you really need. Some clients hire me on a project basis, others on retainer or ongoing basis. It’s truly about getting you where you need to go within your timeline and budget.
How do you charge for your services?
Project-based fees for defined deliverables (like editing a manuscript or building a specific automation). Hourly rates for consulting, training, or ongoing support. Monthly retainers for clients who need consistent access. I’m transparent about costs upfront and never surprise you with unexpected charges.
What if I don't know what tools or platforms I need?
That’s exactly where I can help. I’ll assess what you’re currently using, what you’re trying to accomplish, and recommend solutions that fit your needs and budget. I’m platform-agnostic—I care about what works for you, not pushing specific vendors.
Do you design custom websites?
I build websites on self-hosted platforms like WordPress and use available templates to customize. I do know a few coding languages and utilize them for website builds, but I do not create templates from scratch. I am not a designer in that sense.
Can you work with the tools we already have?
Usually, yes. I have experience with hundreds of platforms, and I’m good at making existing tools work better before recommending new ones. If what you have isn’t working, I’ll tell you honestly—but my first instinct is always to optimize what you’ve already invested in.
Will I be able to maintain what you build?
Absolutely. Everything I build comes with documentation, training, and support to make your team self-sufficient. My goal is to work myself out of a job by making you capable of maintaining and improving what we create together.
